The Well-Tempered Clavier

The Edinburgh Literary Fest is in full swing - and, as usual, I’m in the thick of it.

Haven’t yet been invited along, mind, to give a talk, but maybe … maybe next year!

Seen a number of shows though, including Danny Wallace last night. A total star. He’s written two fantastic books, "Yes Man" and "Join Me", and has just come out with a third "Friends Like These".

But what I found especially interesting about Danny is that he EXACTLY like … ahem … Idle Tom the Publisher.

This is Idle Tom, but … stick a pair of glasses on him and you’ve got Danny Wallace, complete with the gunk on his hair! Check it out on Danny’s site here!

"So Tom!" I said. "You and Danny Wallace! Separated at birth or what?"

"Danny who?"

"Very successful book guy - but although in that respect you have nothing in common, you look identical! He’s your double!"

"OK. Thanks for that Bill." Distinctly unenthused. "By the way, what’s happened about my blind-date with Susan?"

"The mother of Damian? Sorted! You free on Saturday night?"

"Definitely!"

"Well get your styling gel on because Susan wants to meet you!"
